Well cooked and flavored food and knowledgeable and attentive service. I want to go back and try more dishes!
Not an oriental buffet but Very good Chinese food
We got takeout from this place last night at around 8PM. About two hours after eating the cashew chicken, everyone in my family who ate it got sick. We're currently suffering from some of the worst food poisoning I've ever experienced, and we won't be back.
This 5 spice is specifically called "5 Spice Asian Flavor" because it's not part of the similarly named chain. The food is fantastic and unique, wine so holding onto it's authenticity. By far the best Chinese in Nixa, it's on par with the best of Springfield. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. I drive past 5 other Chinese restaurants to get 5 Spice.
I love this place. Good food and good service.
We really like the food, and the service.
Always fast and super friendly. They know my usual and have known since my 3rd visit.
I normally have great service but my last 2 visits, not so much. About 1 week ago I asked for hot and sour soup in the drive thru line. Get home and find, egg drop soup! Called and they apologized and said next time get soup free. Just got home from picking up dinner including my FREE hot and sour soup. Open it to eat and what did I Get? EGG DROP SOUP!!!! WELL, food is good but more times than not there is something wrong with my order as in today. Ask for extra ginger, what I get is wasabi. Just 1 example
The staff doesn’t speak English and I’m not crazy about their soup but the Salt and Pepper Chicken more than makes up for it. It is consistently AMAZING after ordering it several times. Be aware, the Springfield location does not offer this dish.
Very nice professional and good food
Good food, good service, always quiet. They are a nice restaurant when you want to sit down and enjoy a quiet Asian meal. Priced a little high, but the experience is worth it.
Definitely not as good as the Springfield location but certainly not bad food. Not a great atmosphere, it's very clear that it used to be a Taco Bell or something.
Have been many times, never disappointed
This used to be my family's favorite Asian restaurant. However something has changed for the worse. The hot & sour soup used to be amazing but now it's just tolerable. The food is coated in excessive amounts of oil and swimming in sauce. The taste is ok for most of the items we ate like the pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and Thai basil chicken. The service today was equally terrible. The food came out at such different times that half our party was done eating before others had even received their food. The waitress, a new person who did not seem as if she had ever worked in the service industry before, was unapologetic, argumentative, and had to be asked multiple times for things like refills and the check. I hope that they get their act together soon but even if they do we likely won't be back again. A real loss.
Best Miso soup I've had since I lived in the Pacific, and their Eel roll (Dragon roll) was amazing and well presented in a timely maner. I have eaten Asian food from all over the world all my live, being half Asian myself, I have high expectations when it comes to eating traditional Asian meals. The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the atmosphere friendly and we'll kept.
General chicken & pot stickers are very good. Price is good also
The food at 5 Spice is amazing; however, you must check your order, especially in the drive thru. We have received the wrong order on more than one occasion but when correct it is fantastic.
very good general chicken and crabrangoons. the sushi is very nice aswell especially the price.
Extremely kid friendly. Very nice staff. The General Chicken is really good along with Sesame Chicken. also has sushi options
Good food, pretty quick...a little pricey but seemingly larger quantities. Lunch prices are good!
Excellent service. Great bang for your buck. Everything we order was very good. Definitely will be coming back.
I've been in Nixa for too long not to have tried this until now. We loved it. This place is a step above the other Asian places in Nixa. More authentic flavor. Super kind staff. Happy Chinese New Year!
This place used to be my go to and now it seems like it's really gone down hill. It stopped tasting fresh and started getting gross. I always get hair in my food every single time i go there now. I gave it so many chances because i didn't want to believe that my favorite place could turn out this bad after all this time.
Went there for dinner tonight and was impressed. First time trying them, somehow always missed them but since all the other Chinese restaurants were closed I thought I would try them out and will not and cannot go back to the others! Food is so fresh, the prices are a bit higher than others but you definitely get what you pay for!
We have eaten there several times order take out often we have never had a bed meal all of them have been exceptional would highly recommend this restaurant
Too expensive for the amount of food you get, and the flavor is not as good as it should be for the price. The only real reason why I eat here on rare occasions because they're open on Sundays.
It's good basic Asian food however they do have a larger menu I haven't tried. They use good quality chicken meat which is a big deal to me. Cost is about as much as fast food and it's higher quality food. Drive through option is nice too
Decent food. Decent priced. Never real busy so great service
Our favorite chinese place to go to.
They have a new dish called the pad Thai, it’s amazing! The sauce is perfect topped with some lime. Definitely going to be coming back!!
Favorite date spot! Love everything I’ve tried here, but the crab Rangoon is the BEST. Always hot and fresh!!
Food here is always great. Serving sizes are generous. Service is decent. I always enjoy coming here. Hard to believe the dining area is always so empty. Have been coming here for three years and have never been disappointed. It seems to be closed down now. To bad.
I didnt care for the flavor. I've tried it a few times and a different dish each time.
Have had nothing but bad service at this place-- food was good , when it finally got served that is ---
Good food and portion size and good prices
Love the Walnut Chicken. They even have it in shrimp that I might try the next time I go. Our waitress Kathleen is the best!
Love this place so much! Great service, friendly staff. Food is always fresh. Would have to agree that this is the best Chinese in Nixa! Btw there sushi is a must! Def. will be coming back!
Great food! Excellent service. Best server there is Adam!! Springfield style cashew chicken is where it's at! Atmosphere is stellar, would recommend over Springfield location.
Love the New Style California Roll
Firstly i want to say I was skeptical about trying this place out becuase it looked a little empty. However after trying it I have to admit food and service were AMAZING! We ordered potsticker and generals chicken. The chicken was cooked just right and the potsticker sauce was the BEST around! The waitress was new but we could see she was trying very hard to learn. Seems like we have found a new gem. Will be coming back
It was delicious, clean and a great experience
Soooooo slow getting our food and the place isn't even busy.. Sitting here for almost 45 minutes with 3 kids has been very unpleasant and doubt we will ever return.
First time trying 5 Spice and loved it! Will definitely go back.
On 3 separate occasions we have crunched down on a metal bristle from a scrub brush in our food. It has been a miracle we have not swallowed it (once was a child) or have not chipped a tooth. Two times in the fried rice, and once in the wok fried noodles. We called to let them know, the first time they casually said "it happens because we scrub our wok with a steel bristle brush." they gave us a free rice for our next visit so we let it go. The second time, several months later they said the same thing but were more apologetic and gave us a free rice. The third time we called and they basically said we were liars and said there is no record of it ever happening to us because there are new owners. THREE TIMES. No sorry.... nothing! Great way to treat your customers. We will be reporting to the health department and will be warning others in our area of this health hazard! We will not make the same mistake again.
Got sweet and sour chicken. Had a bit of sticker shock for the high price, but the portion was pretty big. The chicken was insanely tough and I had several pieces I spat out because the texture was so gross. It was like it was all tendon or something. The rice is steamed, not fried, so very clumpy. Somehow Hong Kong Inn is better quality at a much lower price. I will say the sauce had good flavor. If the chicken was better quality this would've been a 5 star review.
Love this place
The best. Tasted delicious and looked the same. This super nice server Faith was super helpful and always refilled my drinks on time. Thanks!
Great cashew chicken, great serving sizes
My husband and I decided to try something new tonight and so glad we weren’t super hungry. My husband ordered the General Tso’s chicken. I’m not sure if rice is supposed to come with it or not because the menu didn’t specify, but if it did, we didn’t get our rice. I ordered the Phad Thai, which some lady thought my husband was saying Pan Thai, and he ordered it spicy. Not only was it not spicy, but the only seasoned, flavorful item in the Phad Thai was the egg. There was literally ZERO flavor. I was eating cooked noodles and chicken that seemed like it didn’t even get seasoned with salt or pepper. Just no flavor, at all. We also ordered dumplings, one came with pieces of bone. We threw away about 90% of our meal that cost $30. Won’t be back.
